general & ooc
1. Remember...respect and common courtesy! Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. Please be respectful of all members and staff. Any disagreements should be brought to light to staff members, and please do not let it taint the nature and present contentedness of the game.
2. While swearing is allowed, it's only permitted to a minimum. This being a generally all-age site, please do not spam the boards with the "f" word or overuse curses and unsavory languages where it's not necessary.
3. Avatars can be 100x100 pixels at max. Please keep your signatures to 500 pixels in width.
4. Unsure of something? If you can't find what you're looking for here in the guidelines, simply PM a staff member or ask around in the lounge or chatbox.
in character
1. One character per account. The account name must be that of the character it is for.
2. You can play as many characters as you like, as long as you can handle them all.
3. The lifespan of wild red deer may reach up to 13 years. Keep in mind that their time of full mating maturity is not until approximately 6 years of age.
4. Mark threads as such, if you like. It makes organization easier:
5. We have no word count minimum for your in character posts. Just have fun! That's the goal =)
6. Liquid time is permitted here, so long as the threads do not conflict or interfere with one another.
7. The red deer is the primary subject of the game. HOWEVER, there can be a small population of:
fighting and challenging
1. If you are going to challenge a Baron for his position as leader of the herd, or a Captain, send a PM to a staff member with the location and thread.
2. To keep the game realistic, you can dodge an attack only 4 times total. Likewise, only a few of your attacks can strike the target correctly. Keep in mind, the chances of a hind beating a stag are rare, and also, the size of antlers and the number of tines in a fight also affect the outcome.
3. Sparring for harems grows more common during the late summer and fall.
breeding
1. Breeding, aka the rut season, begins in late summer and progresses throughout the fall.
2. Fawns are born some time during the fall.
3. Stags may gather harems of up to 7 hinds.
